Mindful Therapy Cairns practitioners are registered with the appropriate governing body as per their qualifications and the Equine Psychotherapy institute (EPI) in Australia and abide by a stringent Code of Ethics relating to informed consent, confidentiality and client privacy. This ensures that our clients receive a professional, ethical, and quality service that promotes respectful relationships and positive outcomes.
All sessions are confidential. You are free to discuss anything with your practitioner and know that your personal information will not be shared.

Please note there are three exceptions to the above:
1. When disclosure is required to prevent clear and imminent danger to yourself and others.
2. When legal requirements demand that confidential material be revealed.
3. When you agree to release your information to a third party for example a referral.

You must inform your practitioner if you come under the care of any health care professional such as a psychotherapist, psychologist, counsellor, mental health social worker, psychiatrist or any related professional or government body during the course of our contract.
If you are under this type of medical or psychological treatment, or legal entity, it is advised that you disclose to them also your participation in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy/counselling sessions.
